(Truth vs. Lie, and sometimes, WE are the rope…)

1.A big reason we don’t see God MOVE in our lives is because we won’t MOVE.

(Colossians 4:10; Ephesians 4:11-12; Acts 2:1, 8:27, 10:44, 12:5)

2.Ministry TO God (not FOR God) is the beginning of the real ‘win’.

(Romans 12:1; Psalm 101:6; Isaiah 56:6; Ephesians 1:11-12, 6:18; Hebrews 13:5; Luke 10:39)

3.TRUTH wants to gain my attention and win me over, but so does the LIE. Beware.

(Mark 4:15; 2 Corinthians 10:5; John 8:44)

4.In the POWER of the Holy Spirit, we CANNOT allow a lie to have its way.

(Proverbs 6:16-19, 12:2, 19:5; Eph. 4:25; Psalm 101:7; Colossians 3:9; Titus 3:10; Matthew 23; 2 Timothy 3:8-9; Exodus 7:11; Mark 9:42; Isaiah 5:20)

5.When I take a STAND, it can lead to a WIN for someone else!

Taking it further to help you THRIVE

1.Looking back at your notes from this week’s teaching, was there anything that particularly caught your attention, challenged, or confused you?

2.On Sunday, John talked about there being a difference between ministering “for” the Lord and ministering “to” the Lord. What’s the difference? In what ways might we over-stress the former while under-focusing on the latter?

3.Who/what has an audience with you that is possibly trying to pull you away from your relationship with Jesus? What can you do about this?

4.Describe a time when your failing to take a stand for truth caused ‘harm’ to someone else…

5.Was Paul’s judgment on the sorcerer too harsh? Why? Why not?
