This We Can Know For Sure
(3 solid foundations of God’s Faithfulness)
1.GOD IS FAITHFUL to FORGIVE me and make me CLEAN.
(1 John 1:6-9; Luke 18:10-14; Psalm 103:12; Micah 7:19; John 6:37; Psalm 32:5)
2.GOD IS FAITHFUL to stay INVOLVED and WORK in my life for my good.
(Romans 8:26-29; 1 Corinthians 15:49; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Philippians 3:21; 1 John 3:2; James 1:2-4; Gen. 50:20)
3.GOD IS FAITHFUL to give me supernatural ABILITY to positively IMPACT others.
(1 Corinthians 1:4-9; 1 Corinthians 1:7; 1 Corinthians 12-14; 1 Peter 4:10-11; Romans 12:4-8)
Taking it further to help you THRIVE…
1.Looking back at your notes from this week’s teaching, was there anything that particularly caught your attention, challenged, or confused you?
2.The 3 truths we looked at on Sunday are: 1. God is faithful to forgive and cleanse me, 2. God is faithful to stay involved and work in my life for my good, and 3. God is faithful to give me supernatural ability to positively impact others. How do we get beyond knowing these to living them out / allowing them to change the way we live from this point forward?
(Address each of the 3 individually.)
3.On Sunday John mentioned a quote by Corrie ten Boom, “The blood of Jesus never cleansed an excuse.” What might this mean, and what implication does it have for us?
4.God working in my life doesn’t mean I will always have it ‘better’ or ‘easier’. On Sunday, what did we say the “good” is that His working in us brings? Are you in any way resisting this work of God in you?
