In the midst of their trials, the apostles and David showed great confidence in God. What can we learn from their example?
(Luke 22:44, Romans 8:28, John 16:1-4, Daniel 3)
What is “confidence”?
- the feeling or belief that one can rely on someone or something; firm trust.
- the state of feeling certain about the truth of something.
1.Confidence in God is expressed through SEEKING Him out.
(Matthew 7:7, Romans 10:17, Psalm 3, Acts 16:25, 2 Corinthians 5:20)
2.Confidence in God is expressed through being OBEDIENT and RESPONDING to His leading.
(Matthew 7:7, Joshua 2, Isaiah 43:2, Deuteronomy 31:6)
3.Confidence in God is expressed by REMEMBERING Who He is and REHEARSING His promises.
(Deuteronomy 11 :18)
4.Confidence in God is expressed through WAITING on Him for GUIDANCE.
(Psalm 46:10, 1 Samuel 13, Genesis 16, Joshua 1, Hebrews 13:5-6)
