My Problem is God’s Pavement

Mark 6:45-56; Matthew 14:22-36; John 6:15-21

1. It’s better to go into a storm in God’s will than into “calm” out of His will.

(v. 45-46; James 1:3-4; Daniel 3; Genesis 37, 50)

2. While I’m straining, Jesus is praying for me.

(v.46; Heb. 6:19, 7:25; Romans 8:34)

3. Jesus never takes His eyes off of me.

(v.47-48; Psalm 139:7-10; Deuteronomy 31:6; Hebrews 13:5)

4. Struggles are often the means by which Jesus reaches me.

(v.48; Ephesians 6:10; Colossians 1:29; Romans 8:31; Matthew 14:27-31)

5. I need to make sure (in everything) I invite Jesus into ‘my boat.’

(v.51; Luke 24:28:)

6. I need to flee mental garbage and focus on truth.

(v.49; 1 Timothy 4:6-10; 2 Timothy 4:3-5; Titus 1:10-16; 2 Timothy 2:4; Colossians 3:2)

7. When I hear and focus on the voice of Jesus, all fear will flee!

(v.49; John 10:4; John 18:6; 1 John 4:8; Matthew 14:33; Psalm 50:15)
