1.God is greater than my ACCUSER.

2.God is greater than dead RELIGIOUS pursuits.
(1 Peter 1:3-5; Hebrews 3:6; Colossians 1:27; Romans 5:5)
3.God is greater than my PAST.
(Romans 8:7-8; Acts 8:1; 1 Timothy 1:15; 1 Corinthians 15:9-10; Philippians 3:13-14)
4.God is greater than my RESISTANCE.

Taking it further to help you THRIVE…
1.Looking back at your notes from this week’s teaching, was there anything that particularly caught your attention, challenged, or confused you?
2.Read 1 Peter 1:3-5. What are some differences between the “living hope” we have in Christ and religious pursuits? Based on the implications of these verses, how should a full embrace of this living hope impact the way we think / act / look forward?
3. Paul shared what he had done in his past. These were actions he was very much ashamed of, but he did not let his past drag him down or hold him back. How do we let past failures or slip-ups impede our forward growth, and how can we stop this?
4. When Jesus appeared to Paul, He told him that “it is hard for you to kick against the goads.” Perhaps God had been pursuing Paul’s heart for quite some time, and he had been resisting. Is there something that God has been ‘goading’ you about lately? Changes you need to make? How might your resistance to God be ‘hurting’ you?
