Taking it further to help you THRIVE

.Looking back at your notes from this week’s teaching, was there anything that particularly caught your attention, challenged, or confused you?

.When Jesus appeared to Paul, He told Paul that he would become a minister of things “I will yet reveal to you” (Acts 26:16). (Of course, Paul had no idea what that future held for him.) Despite God’s promises, why are we often afraid of the future? Is there anything we can do to be better prepared for that future / for the unknown that lies ahead?

.We saw on Sunday that our primary would-be captor is sin, and it usually begins in our minds. We read (and often quote) 2 Corinthians 10:5, “bringing every though into captivity to the obedience of Christ…” What does this mean? Why is this important? How do we do this?

.Read John 8:12 and Matthew 5:14. How are both of these statements that Jesus said true? What does it mean that WE are the light of the world? What does that light accomplish? How are we to shine?

.Read 2 Corinthians 12:9. Why does God not just simply take the weakness or infirmity away? How does God use our weakness to show His power?
